You Can Help

Becoming a Member

Upon becoming a member of the Fort St. John Women's Resource Society yo will be entitled to attend our Annual General Meeting and (if interested) be a Member of the Board of Directors. You will be contacted with information on special events and will receive our quarterly newsletter. You will have access to our library of resource material including internet access to information, books, videos and pamphlets on a wide variety of topics and issues.

As of 2004 The Secretary of State Women's Programs revoked our core funding, due to that, the society, and especially our centre, depends heavily on donations and volunteers for a number of activities including projects, fundraising events, bingos, typing, photocopying, working in the resource library, date entering on the computer, cleaning the offices, etc. Really, anything you can donate or help us with would be much appreciated!

Membership fee is based on a minimum donation of $1.00 per year.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
for V-Day Event taking
place in February 2009!

The V-Day Community Campaign invites women and men in communities and in High Schools around the world to present productions of The Vagina Monologues and other select works to raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls in their communities and abroad. If you would like to volunteer for this event please contact us for more information.
